Having trained as a Family Medicine specialist in the Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi, working there as an independent practitioner before coming to the UK on an RCGP scholarship and ultimately taking up an Academic GP Registrar post in Bournemouth, Majid’s curiosity about culture was fed by his own experience of moving from Pakistan to the UK, particularly when joining the MSc in Medical Education at Cardiff as one of only two fulltime overseas students

Rosslynne has worked in Aga Khan University Hospital in Pakistan for three years as Professor of Medical Education, as well as working in diverse countries delivering educational programmes for the RCGP – and she was also learning from the experience of finding very different responses to teaching, and different perceptions of how to learn.
